Privacy Policy for Arrow Scan

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Arrow Galaxy Studio ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application Arrow Scan: Doc to PDF Scanner or our website https://arrowgalaxystudio.blogspot.com.

Device Permissions & Usage

- Camera Access: Arrow Scan requests camera access solely to capture photos of physical documents, bills, notes, and receipts for PDF conversion.

- Storage and Files: Arrow Scan accesses local storage to save the generated PDF files and to import existing images from your gallery for scanning. When you create or restore a backup file, you choose the file using the Android system file picker.

- Internet Access: The app uses the internet only to show ads and, if you choose to turn it on, for the optional Google Drive backup described below.

Data Privacy & Security

All document scanning, image filtering, and PDF processing occur locally on your device. We do not operate any server that receives, stores, or processes your scanned documents, personal images, or extracted text. We do not collect your documents. Your documents remain private to you.

The only time a copy of your documents leaves your device is when you yourself choose to use one of the backup features below, and in those cases the copy goes to a place you control.

Backup and Restore

Local backup file: Arrow Scan can create a backup file (.arrowbak) that contains your scanned documents. You choose where this file is saved. It is created on your device and is not sent to us. You can restore documents from such a file at any time. Restoring never overwrites your existing documents; restored documents are added as new copies.

Google Drive backup (optional): If you choose to connect Google Drive, Arrow Scan uploads your documents, as one backup file per document, to a folder named "Arrow Scan Backup" in your own Google Drive account. This feature is off until you connect your account and accept the consent screen inside the app.

- Information accessed: your Google account email address (shown inside the app so you can see which account is connected) and the backup files that Arrow Scan itself creates in your Google Drive.

- Permission used: only the Google Drive "drive.file" permission. This allows Arrow Scan to create, read, update, and delete only the files that Arrow Scan created. It does not allow access to any other file in your Google Drive.

- Where your data goes: directly from your device to your own Google Drive over an encrypted connection. We never receive, see, or store these files.

- How we use it: only to back up your documents and to restore them when you ask. We do not use this data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any other purpose, and we do not sell or share it.

- Retention and deletion: backups stay in your Google Drive until you delete them. You can disconnect Google Drive in the app at any time (Backup > Google Drive backup > Disconnect), and you can delete the "Arrow Scan Backup" folder in Google Drive yourself. Deleting a document inside Arrow Scan does not automatically delete its Google Drive backup.

- Revoking access: you can also remove Arrow Scan's access at any time in your Google Account settings under Security > Third-party apps with account access.

Arrow Scan's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

Recycle Bin: Documents you delete in Arrow Scan are kept in an in-app Recycle Bin on your device for 30 days and are then removed permanently. You can also restore them or delete them permanently at any time before that.

Third-Party Services

The app utilizes Google Play Services and Google ML Kit for standard on-device processing.

Advertising: The app shows ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain information, such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and device and app information, to show and measure ads. We do not give AdMob access to your documents. You can learn how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and you can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with unauthorized third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
